The same day Mark Carney called the federal election for April 28, Gregor Robertson announced he would run for the Liberal Party in Vancouver Fraserview-South Burnaby.
Robertson became Vancouver’s 39th mayor in 2008, after promising a greener, kinder city where homelessness would be a thing of the past by 2015. Three elections later, he left office in 2018 with a legacy of more luxury towers and mansions and more homeless and addicts. Under Robertson’s watch, the 2010 Winter Olympics host city became one of the world’s money laundering capitals.
